This is a great local bar!! You feel right at home the moment you sit down. Small with history all over the walls. Definitely has a great vibe to it. Light Snacks available. Customers are allowed to bring in food from the neighboring restaurants and continue drinking and enjoying ...

All I ever want to do is hang out here. If it were socially acceptable to do so, I would! Plus I have to work, but if I didn't, I would just go here and never leave. Bartenders go above and beyond here! Whenever I want to let the big dog eat I go here. Happiness exists and it is served with a smile at Great South Bar!

My absolute favorite bar. From Brooklyn to Montauk, the best staff, drinks, and vibes. New Brewers on tap all the time, accompanied with great music. Plus! I've always felt safe and comfortable there:)

Wonderful, artistic dive. Easily one of the best places in Patchogue, if not the Island. TV is always playing an interesting show or indie film, music is always on point. Great selection of beers. Terry is the man.

Spent a day exploring Patchogue with my girlfriend and this was a stand out spot. The vibe was more familiar to Brooklyn where we live. Very nice staff and great bar snacks. My lady got the nachos and I got the sardines. We were going to get food down the block but it was too pricey for no good reason. This place was just right for a snack and a decent selection of beers. Close to the train station as well.

Perfect combination of a hipster bar and a dive bar. Beer selection is on point. I had their gin cocktail "bee's knees" and its divine. Small bar eats - apps and a couple sandwiches - not a big food variety, but perfect bar food. Definitely recommend!
